Position Summary: This position will require active involvement and leadership with the customer(s) Quality & Sustainability teams. This position will also be responsible for ensuring the overall Martin Brower Quality and Sustainability strategy is designed and implemented, and managed with a high degree of efficiency to achieve and surpass outlined business goals and objectives.

This role reports directly to the SVP Supply Chain & Sustainability and works collaboratively with the rest of the Global Leadership Board and with other senior level management across the globe.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Develops the strategic Quality and Sustainability business plans and ensures they are achieved through the implementation of appropriate tactical practices and procedures.
  • Responsible for reviewing best practices around the globe, and utilizing this data analysis to build the strategy that protects and promotes our customer brands.
  • Provides global leadership for Martin Brower quality and sustainability processes.
  • Ensures that the appropriate Marketing Strategy is in place to support the overall Quality and Sustainability agenda.
  • Provides thought leadership on innovative processes to improve product quality and sustainability initiatives.
  • Partners with key stakeholders to embed the desired culture of performance and employee engagement to achieve the overall quality and sustainability objectives.
  • Champions customer and supplier collaboration, communication and relationship enhancement.
  • Sits as an active member of the Global Logistics Council meetings, heading up the Quality and Sustainability agenda.
  • Prudently manages the organization’s resources within budget guidelines and according to current laws and regulations.
  • Ensures that the services provided are of highest standards possible and in accordance with the company’s quality and sustainability policies.
  • Ensures company compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Monitors the progress of all key projects, particularly those which specifically relate to/support the strategic business plan.
  • Represents the company as a member of industry associations and other committees.
  • Assures the organisation and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented to internal and external parties in a strong, positive and responsible manner.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven senior-level executive management experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years practical experience in supply chain operations and profit responsibility.
  • Sound level of experience within a customer driven global organization.
  • Experience in an international matrix organization.
  • Experience in interacting at the very senior/Board levels of large organizations.
  • Demonstrated record of building sustainable and lean organizations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in quality and sustainability discipline strategy setting and organizational leadership.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Experience managing an evolving and complex environment.
  • A strong communicator who can write and present effectively; able to adjust to fit the audience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to build relationships with various stakeholders within the organization across the regions.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a matrix, cross-functional, cross-cultural, team environments.
  • Ability to travel.
  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
  • Experience within the distribution or Food Service industry
